MNLSTYLE began as a dream to bring the culture, artistry, and beauty of the Philippines to new audiences. This transcontinental relationship between the islands and Portland, Oregon is reflected in the MNLSTYLE name – MNL is the airport code for Manila. By combining modern design with a social mission, founder Katrina Gonzalez Yuen sought to communicate the East meets West story of the Filipino people.
Through relationships with designers such as the Pratt Institute-trained Kristine Dee-Villanueva and nonprofits such as Tahanan Walang Hagdanan (“House with no steps”), Katrina put together the first line of housewares and accessories which debuted in April 2005. Enjoy the craftsmanship, natural materials, and contemporary colors by shopping at the MNLSTYLE online store. We strive to bring meaning, passion, and beauty to this world of ours and hope to get a little closer everyday. Thank you for visiting and supporting MNLSTYLE.
